Biography:
Basil Gabbidon has had a varied and successful career in Reggae music. He is the founder member and lead guitarist of world renowned and Grammy nominated reggae band Steel Pulse. After four successful albums, including their most acclaimed album, ”Handsworth Revolution”, he left to form Reggae Rock band "Bassdance.” The band produced and recorded two albums "Loud” and "Louder”, Basil now leads the reggae band Gabbidon, a vibrant six piece reggae band whose new album is "Reggae Child". He produces a number of artists. In 2005, Basil formed an organization in partnership with The Birmingham Symphony Hall and Birmingham ArtsFest called Reggae Rockz, to put on live reggae events annually in Birmingham City Centre. Gabbidon has recently played at Glastonbury, the Glade and Chiemsee among other European festivals.
